The Siege Of Macindaw

today i read more of The Siege Of Macindaw the sixth book in the rangers apprentice series by John Flanagan. the book continues today with the reuniting of Will and Horace as they try to rescue another dear friend Alyss who has been taken prisoner by a rouge prince who has managed to kill his father and poison is brother. With the help from former warden ship captain and fierce fighter Gundar the group of Horace Will Gundar and his men proceed to capture and injure the men of foriegn king and hopeful ally of the rouge prince Keren
 
the passage i chose is between will and horace after will fended off  the foriegn scotti king in one on one combat with only his saxe knife and in this they play for the future interrogation of their new prisoner and his men which shows the fruits of their labor and thier future plans for the rescue of alyss

Today in my book "The Two Towers" The second of the lord of the rings series, I read about the progress of Frodo and Sam's Journey to reconnect with their companions and friends. as well as the coming about of Boromir's, Faramir's brother, death and the disappearence of his prized posession and family heirloom the Black Horn.
The Quote that i chose today is:"For if Boromir was then in peril and was slain i must fear that all my companions perished to. And they are my kindred and friends."
The quote shows that no matter what in the world you do you cant protect everything or everyone

Dust and Decay

So far the second book in the rot and ruin series lives up to the reputation its gotten from its previous readers. In the book so far there is been the appearance of new characters the return of old ones and many twists and turns as the crew makes the start of their journey into the rot and ruin. Facing new enemies and old zombies they have managed to get themselves into quite a predicament. And I'm very excited to see how Benny, Tom, Nix and Lilah go about getting out of the very deadly situation their in. And always remember to be warrior smart. And don't forget your matches when your in the ruin.

One of the best passages so far happens to be right when they're leaving on their epic journey into the rot and ruin. "little girls fast with the pig sticker. the stranger seemed to have stepped out of no where." this passage shows how unreliable the rot and ruin can be and with his appearance the real story picks up and the adventure begins.
